United Way of Forsyth County (UWFC) in Downtown Winston-Salem in the Truliant Center, is a designated drop-off site for donations and volunteers are needed to help with items s as they are dropped off and prepped for transport out to affected areas.
Volunteers are needed NOW through Thursday, October 31st between 10:30 AM until 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday for at least 2-hour shifts.
Attire: Wear comfy, closed toe footwear.
Parking: One-to-two-hour metered street parking is available near and around the building.
Tasks:
Meet and greet individuals dropping of items
Transport items from vehicles to 15th floor - United Way of Forsyth County’s Hurricane Helene Relief Donation Center
Organize / Inventory items in the Center
Assist with loading donations out of the building into larger transport vehicles
Other Details:
- Asking individuals to volunteer for at least 2 hours.
- Donations are received throughout the day at various times – scheduled and unscheduled.
- Volunteers may need to lift 20 to 30 lbs.
