Help commemorate United Way’s annual Day of Action by cleaning a street, park, or stream located in one of United Way of Forsyth County's Place Matters neighborhoods! This is an opportunity to gather family, friends, co-workers and others to help!

Calling All Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful “Adoptees” to Clean Their Street, Park, or Stream!

What Dates Should We Do the Clean-up?

 

United Way Day of Action happens annually on or around June 21st. Although June 23rd  is the target event day, groups and individuals who complete volunteer activities and service projects between Saturday, June 20th and Saturday, June 27th, will be credited towards Day of Action events.  
Yes! We want to join in! How can my group participate? Coordinate with your group and select a clean-up date. (Activities held between Sat. June 20th and Sat. 1.      This is what volunteers will be doing!

Join our team at Pinwheels Thrift Store and help turn donated items into support for local children and families. Proceeds from Pinwheels directly benefit The Parenting PATH's child abuse prevention and family support programs.

Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks that help keep the store organized, welcoming, and ready for shoppers.

Volunteer activities may include:

Sorting and organizing donated clothing by size, season, and category
Inspecting donations for quality and cleanliness
Hanging and preparing clothing for display
Restocking merchandise on the sales floor
Organizing racks, shelves, and displays
Straightening and tidying shopping areas
Assisting with general store organization and light housekeeping

1.      Help us create a welcoming and safe outdoor space for children and families served by The Parenting PATH! Volunteers will assist with general landscaping and beautification projects around our playground and facility grounds.

Trimming bushes and shrubs
Spreading mulch
Picking up litter and debris
Planting flowers and other landscaping projects
General outdoor clean-up and beautification
