Calling Alllllll Volunteers!
Activity in United Way of Forsyth County’s Hurricane Helene Relief Donation Center is switching gears and is now prepping donations to be transported to impacted areas and individuals.
If you have an appetite for Hurricane Helene Relief related volunteering, United Way of Forsyth County needs help boxing up donations and prepping them for transport!
We need volunteers:
THIS Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
(October 29th and 30th and November 1st)
AND
next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
(November 6th, 7th, and 8th)
to pack, label, stack, in the Center and then move boxes and bags from the Center down to the loading dock and load in vehicles.
United Way of Forsyth County’s Hurricane Helene Relief Donation Center located at the Truliant Center (301 N. Main Street) in Downtown Winston-Salem will be open from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM to tackle this part of the donation process. If you can give at least 2 hours, that will be great!

Attire: Wear comfy, closed toe footwear.
Parking: One-to-two-hour metered street parking is available near and around the building.
Tasks:
- Pack, label and sort boxes by category
- Transport items from the 15th floor - United Way of Forsyth County’s Hurricane Helene Relief Donation Center – to transport vehicles
- Assist with loading donations out of the building into larger transport vehicles
Other Details:
- Asking individuals to volunteer for at least 2 hours
- Volunteers may need to lift 20 to 30 lbs.
