Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy through service to our community!

United Way Forsyth County, in partnership with Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful, is hosting the 2026 MLK Day of Service to complete this community beautification/clean-up project at 5 pre-identified sites that are either connected to Dr. MLK, Jr. Drive in Winston-Salem or at/near the MLK, Jr. Recreation/Community Center.

What: Community beautification/clean-up project at 5 pre-identified sites

When: Monday, January 19, 2026 (MLK Day)

Check-In Time: 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM

Service Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Check-Out Time: 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Check-In/Check-Out Location:
All volunteers must check in first at Masonic Hall, 1025 E. 14th Street
Site assignments and supplies will be distributed at check-in.

Volunteers can:

  • Choose to serve at 1 or 2 sites

  • All supplies and tools provided
