ABOUT THE INITIATIVE and OPPORTUNITY: Healthy Eating Initiative (Community) Gardens are clearing out the remaining summer harvest and preparing for fall. The fall planting season is just beginning, and assistance is always welcome.
Two of the three community gardens - LaDeara Crest and Grace need volunteers to help. Grace is a 4 bed in-ground garden.
Grace needs less assistance. The clearing process has begun, and planting may begin almost immediately. We’d like to add an additional above ground garden bed at this location and need a new rain barrel for watering the garden.
